Arrest warrants against Master Dang and Belgian head of Spiritual Human Yoga: fraud and illegal medical practice
Two arrests, three searches, "Master Dang" will certainly remember his stay in Belgium.

This Thursday Examining magistrate Damien Vandermeersch placed worldwide leader of Spiritual Human Yoga group Mr. Luong Minh Dang, alias "Master Dang", as well as "SHY-Belgium" association treasurer Mrs. Vo Thi Minh Hiep of Rhode-Saint-Genèse, under arrest mandate for fraud and illegal medical practice. Presumably harmful sect "SHY" previously used the name of "Human and Universal Energy"; its activities started in 1990, penetrating our country in 1992.

In parallel, Brussels Special Research Brigade of Gendarmerie has conducted three searches on Thursday evening and Friday morning, visiting private hotel room of "Master Dang" at Château du lac de Genval; visiting (and sealing) national headquarters of the sect at rue Vilain XIIII in Brussels; and finally, visiting private household of the couple that runs SHY-Belgium association, avenue Gustave in Rhode-Saint-Genèse. SHY-Belgium is at the hands of Vietnamo-Danish couple, and the wife, Mrs. Vo Thi, is engaged with financial responsibilities of the movement.

Dang's case is first and foremost a financial affair (and thus was passed on to the Special Tax Inspection): it is engaged in simultaneous spreading of apocalyptic messages (see our previous editions) and offering paid courses attending which would permit to avoid consequences of the announced cataclysms. In short, fraud. To remind, the sums directly pocketed by Master Dang solely for Belgium would amount to about 40 million Belgian francs (± million Euros).

In addition, it seemed theoretically inevitable that the case will touch on another, legally more delicate affair of the complaint by grand-parents from Ottignies against entrusting their grand-daughter suffering from a serious disease into the hands of Master Dang.

France and Switzerland have been also attentively following events taking place this weekend in Belgium, as many their nationals were to gather in Palexpo of Geneva on the 16th and the 17th of January to receive teachings of Master Dang. Thus on Friday morning cantonal police of Geneva informed the Swiss responsible of the movement on Friday that it was likely the "living god" will not be present... No legal case is active in Switzerland, but police is ready to intervene in case of any trouble.
