Following the publication «Guru Dang released on 50 million bail» on the 24th of March 1999, we received Mr. Luong Minh Dang's request to publish the following in line with his right to respond:
The gendarmerie contacted me before my courses that were to be organised in a respectable hotel from Genval and did not object to my holding the event. Furthermore, the gendarmerie followed our work without creating obstacles or interfering, and did not find anything reproachable.
There was neither «specific» educational session, nor the reunion «in the luxurious castle»; not even a «police raid». I was only questioned after the weekend which has passed as authorities, properly informed, could expect.
I'm not a «guru», I simply advocate a peaceful and benevolent philosophy.
I object to statements of my being engaged in illegal medical practice - I recall certain ancestral practices without calling to abandon traditional medicine. My goal is not gaining money, especially that I'm remunerated for my teaching and my expenditures are covered.
Thus I object to having organised «a gigantic fraud operation».
Our Spiritual Human Yoga (SHY) movement is not indoctrinating anyone, not imposing anything, does not have membership, only accepting adults for training, free of charge for those who experience difficulties. Our central office is legally based in the United States and our activities in 65 countries around the world are official, conducted without experiencing any difficulties anywhere, except in Belgian municipality of Nivelles.
I do not declare to be a living god.
My group is not pseudo-religious and I do not announce anything special, nor the end of the world for coming August the 11th: above the solar eclipse which everyone knows about. But we are saying that if there is nothing to shake us to mobilize our efforts and engage universal energy capabilities against wars, degeneration, epidemics and pollution, mankind will destroy itself: many environmentalists, philosophers, scientists, politicians and religious leaders of all confessions are unanimous.
I would be grateful if we could together respect my right for presumption of innocence, our freedoms of thought and assembly inscribed in democratic constitutions and human rights convention. I respect your scepticism even though it undermines my honour.

This text must be supplemented by the following details:
Our magazine respects general principle of presumption of innocence, and, confident in the constitutional authority of the land, recognizes also the presumption of guilt contained in judiciary act of legal charges.
Mr. Luong Minh Dang, alias Master Dang, does not contest being charged with fraud and illegal medical practice, nor having deposited a rare bail of fifty millions of Belgian francs to leave the cell he was placed in.
As for international scientific community, it will be interested to learn that the only innovation of SHY treatments against AIDS is «recalling certain ancestral practices».
